WoodRailer: The wagon for flexible timber transports
WoodRailer is a cooperation of Rail Cargo Austria and Innofreight. Up to date, there existed no wagon which could be used, without restrictions, for transports of log wood, sawn timber and containers. WoodRailer is a true innovation as it also allows to move containerized cargo.
WoodRailer features a novel stanchion system: The stanchions are pivoted and withstand heavy loads. If necessary, the stanchions can easily be tilted down manually. This greatly facilitates timber and container transports.
Thanks to these benefits and other features, WoodRailer holds the potential of sustainably changing freight transport by rail.
