NINA - National Intermodal Network Austria
Rail Cargo Austria offers its customers a rail network in Austria, which is reserved exclusively for intermodal transport. Using a hub-and-spoke system, it provides an overnight link between the terminals in Austria with the highest volumes.
Terminals interlinked on a daily basis
Since April 2011, NINA has been ensuring a linkage of the terminals in
Northwest Vienna, Wels, Salzburg, Villach, St. Michael, Graz, Hall, Wolfurt and
Bludenz. The main hub is the terminal in Wels.
In August 2011, the terminals
in Linz and Krems and in September the terminal Kapfenberg were also integrated
into the network
Global customer benefits
The use of own motive power units and shuttle sets allows an additional
increase of the predictability and reliability of our services. Customers are
offered an online tool for booking, shipment tracking and tracing, as well as
data exchange.
