Since 2000, Rail Cargo Austria has been focusing
more and more on the Southern European area, where over the past few years
subsidiaries have been established in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
And this network will continue to grow in the future. The constantly increasing
number of transport units which are handled by Rail Cargo Austria are a clear
indicator that more and more customers rely upon us to securely fulfil their
transport needs
Continental traffic
Together with its partners, Rail Cargo Austria operates a network of block train and single wagon connections which spans all of Europe and satisfies almost any customer need possible. With its load units, which are tailored specifically to customer needs, the combined cargo system allows us to organize Europe-wide continental transport without lengthy transfer processes. This also applies to customers who are not linked directly to the rail network. Rail Cargo Austria ensures economically and ecologically optimal logistics and transport chains. For us, the European competition is both a challenge and a mandate.
National traffic - National intermodal network Austria / NINA
Rail Cargo Austria offers its customers a rail network in Austria, which is reserved exclusively for intermodal transport. Using a hub-and-spoke system, it provides an overnight link between the terminals in Austria with the highest volumes.
Maritime traffic - Intercontinental overseas traffic
Together with its partners, Rail Cargo Austria operates excellent block train systems which are used to handle the maritime traffic. The Austrian import/export market focuses not only on the classical trading partners Germany and Italy: demand for our reliable transport solutions is also high for shipping needs to the US, Japan and China.
