Rail Cargo Austria is recruiting apprentices for the job of freight forwarder in all of Austria, particularly in Styria, Salzburg, Carinthia, Tyrol, and Vorarlberg. The chances that apprentices are kept on in the company following their thorough training are high. “Our apprentices get an excellent training, are optimally prepared for their career and can actually contribute to the successful future of the RCA Group,” emphasises Dr. Günther Riessland, Member of the Board of Rail Cargo Austria AG.
Best possible training for a solid career base
Optimal service and customer proximity are key company goals of Rail Cargo Austria. The apprentice training programme has been developed to ensure commitment to these goals. ”In order to ensure best possible flexibility in their future career, apprentices are trained in the different specialist areas on a rotational basis,” explains Mag. Peter Truhlarovsky, head of the administrative department Human Resources/Management Systems. Additional advanced training courses, language trainings within the scope of the RCA Language Academy, as well as the possibility of a supplementary apprenticeship in Forwarding Logistics offer further incentives and represent a solid base for a successful career.
Apprenticeship professions at a glance
The Freight Forwarder (apprenticeship: three years) organises freight transports and ensures that the goods arrive at their destination safely and on time. The Freight Forwarding Logistician is responsible for the procurement and storage as well as transshipment and transport of materials and products. RCA offers apprenticeship training for Freight Forwarding Logisticians in form of a one year supplementary apprenticeship.
Applications for apprenticeships
The application period for apprenticeships with RCA started in October 2009. The application process is made up of three phases: written application, written aptitude test and personal job interview. Shorter apprenticeship terms may apply for anyone with A levels. The application period will end on 26 February 2010.
