Visit us at the International Wood Fair in Klagenfurt

Everybody of rank and name in the wood sector met in Klagenfurt between 26 and 29 August 2010. 452 exhibitors from 22 countries presented their products and services to about 22,000 trade visitors. It was an excellent opportunity for Rail Cargo Austria, ProRail and Express-Interfracht to present their comprehensive scope of services in wood logistics. Beside the new logistics solutions to Italy, the “Woodliner” was presented, a transport offer from diverse shipping stations in Germany to Austria, as well as transport solutions from Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, especially Ukraine and Romania.

Despite the economically difficult situation, in 2009, Rail Cargo Austria transported around 10 million tons of wood and thus successfully defended its position as one of Europe’s biggest wood transporters. The extensive logistics network of the Rail Cargo Austria Group with its more than 90 locations met with great interest from the visitors.

At the “International Day of Wood” of Fachverband Forst Holz Papier (trade association for forestry, wood and paper) taking place simultaneously, the economic outlook in the construction market, ecology and the development of the wood market formed the centre of the discussions.
